Morientes to face Porto

MONACO’S Spanish international striker Fernando Morientes should be fit for the Champions League final against FC Porto in Germany later this month, according to the French team’s doctor Eric Buracchi.

“Fernando is suffering from a right ankle sprain. It’s not too serious. He has 90% chance of being fit for Wednesday May 26,” said Buracchi.

Morientes is preparing to play in Friday’s final French league game of the season at Bordeaux, and Buracchi said that a final decision will be taken after that match.
