Coleman plays it cool with van der Sar

CHRIS COLEMAN has not quizzed Edwin van der Sar over his weekend accusations about Fulham because the boss believes the goalkeeper does his talking where it counts – on the pitch.

Cottagers chief Coleman admitted he would rather the Dutch international ‘keeper had not given Sunday’s interview, in which he accused his club of not delivering on their promise to buy big name players, build a new stadium and become a major force in Europe.

But Coleman, whose team face Aston Villa at Loftus Road tonight, has not even asked the Dutch number one about the matter because he was so impressed by his sparkling performance at Southampton on Saturday.
