Savage faces anxious FA Cup wait

BLACKBURN midfielder Robbie Savage will know within the next 48 hours whether he will be fit enough to face Arsenal in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final.

Savage made his comeback on Tuesday night after six weeks on the sidelines with a groin injury, playing 68 minutes of a 2-1 reserve defeat to Middlesbrough at Ewood Park.

He is hoping there will be no adverse reaction to his run-out, giving manager Mark Hughes a selection headache for the showdown with the Gunners.
