Mellberg set to return

ASTON VILLA skipper Olof Mellberg is hoping to make his latest comeback against Manchester City tomorrow. Mellberg has been suffering from a hamstring problem which first flared up four months ago.

The Swedish international made his comeback after a five-game absence by playing 45 minutes for the reserves against Manchester City at Tamworth on Saturday.

Mellberg said: “It’s been a frustrating few weeks but I feel much more positive now. It’s been one of those injuries where we couldn’t work to a timescale. Providing there is no reaction, I’d love to be involved on Tuesday.”
