Pires boost for Gunners ahead of Bayern clash

ARSENAL midfielder Robert Pires has declared himself fit to face Bayern Munich in their crucial Champions League return leg at Highbury tomorrow night.

Arsenal are 3-1 down from the opening leg and manager Arsene Wenger feared he would be without Pires when he went off with an ankle injury during the 1-1 Premiership draw with Southampton nine days ago.

But Pires is set to join in a full training session as Arsenal prepare for a game they have to win at least 2-0 to reach the last eight.
