Players to face judge over sex assault allegations

THREE Premiership footballers will this morning face a judge over accusations that they carried out a serious sex assault.

The Leicester City players last night spent a sixth night in Sangonera Jail near Murcia.

Paul Dickov, Frank Sinclair and Keith Gillespie were alleged to have attacked three African women at their five-star hotel in the resort of La Manga. All three deny the allegations.

A prison service spokeswoman confirmed the three would be taken to court in Cartagena today.

A court source said the three alleged victims will also be attending court.

The source added that it was “highly possible” there would be a “careo” or face-to-face meeting between the accusers and accused, before the judge to try to resolve the matter.
