Gillespie: Roo’ll be targeted

KEITH GILLESPIE has warned Wayne Rooney that football’s leading nations will try and exploit his unpredictable behaviour although he believes the England striker will eventually learn his lesson and change his ways.

Rooney lost all self control yet again in England’s 1-0 defeat to Northern Ireland in Belfast on Wednesday night.

Gillespie was on the receiving end of the Man United stars elbow in an aerial challenge. That earned Rooney a booking and he was fortunate not to be red carded after a similar challenge on Chris Baird barely a minute later.
