Keown backs Vieira to stay

MARTIN KEOWN is confident Patrick Vieira will spurn the advances of Real Madrid and remain at Arsenal.

But despite what Keown says is a “frenzy” surrounding Vieira, the centre-back is sure the France midfielder will lead the Premiership champions next season.

Keown, who yesterday signed a one-year deal with Leicester following 11 seasons with Arsenal, said: “Patrick has been phenomenal in the last couple of years.
