Forest honour Clough

NOTTINGHAM FOREST manager Joe Kinnear admitted his players needed no motivation to supply a “fairytale finish” to an emotional day of celebrations of the life of Brian Clough.

Trailing with just over five minutes left against West Ham, Forest scored two wonder goals through Paul Evans and Marlon King to send the City Ground into raptures.

Even Frank Sinatra, whose ‘My Way’ followed a parade of Clough’s former players around the pitch, can rarely have brought the house down with such a rousing finale.

“I think the man himself would have been happy with that,” said Kinnear, whose side had their first win of the season.
