Carr escapes punishment after ball boy incident

STEPHEN Carr will not be subject to a Football Association investigation despite his confrontation with a ball--boy at the end of Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat at Blackburn on Saturday.

The Spurs captain was incensed when the youngster delayed giving him the ball seconds before referee Graham Poll whistled for full-time at Ewood Park.

The ball-boy then allegedly taunted him with a hand gesture and Carr had to be pulled away from the youngster by teammate Dean Richards as he tried to confront him.
