Morrison out for a month

REPUBLIC of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison will be sidelined for a month after picking up a knee injury in the 0-0 draw with France at the weekend.

Birmingham have revealed Morrison requires an operation on a cartilage problem which forced him off the Stade de France pitch on Saturday.

The news is a further blow to Blues manager Steve Bruce, who is left with only two strikers after Mikael Forssell was ruled out until March.
