Agent denies Milner claims of salary offer

MICK MCGUIRE has hit back at claims that James Milner has been offered and rejected a 100% pay rise by Leeds United.

The PFA deputy chief executive has been looking forward to renegotiating Milner’s contract at Elland Road, but all contract talks have been put on hold until club chairman Dave Richmond returns from holiday.

Therefore McGuire, who represents Milner, is disappointed stories have appeared this week claiming Leeds had offered to double the teenager’s salary, and he had already turned them down.
