New Hammers deal for Sheringham

EVERGREEN Teddy Sheringham has signed a new one-year deal with West Ham.

Hammers boss Alan Pardew was delighted the 39-year-old put pen to paper. “It’s important for our young players that we have good senior professionals at the club, and Teddy has always set the right example,” Pardew said.

“Teddy has shown this season that he is still a top Premiership striker and, given his superb fitness levels and dedication to the game, I have no doubt that he will be an important member of the team next year.”
