Nedved and Thuram extend Juve contracts

JUVENTUS have extended the contracts of two of their key players, Pavel Nedved and Lilian Thuram.

Both men joined Juve in 2001 from Lazio and Parma respectively and have won three Scudetti in four seasons with the Turin outfit.

Both have now extended their stays with the Italian champions until 2008.

A statement on club website www.juventus.com said: “Juventus have renewed the contracts of Pavel Nedved and Lilian Thuram until the end of June 2008. The two stars, whose contracts were due to expire in June 2006, will stay with the Bianconeri for three more years to the joy of all Juve fans.”

Czech Nedved, 32, and Frenchman Thuram, 33, have both retired from international football.
