Baggies pull plug on Ehiogu deal

UGO EHIOGU’S proposed moved to West Brom collapsed last night after the player failed to agree personal terms with the Baggies.

Albion had looked set to land the 33-year-old Middlesbrough defender on an 18-month deal but now admit any deal is off. Chairman Jeremy Peace said: “We’ve done everything we can to make this deal happen but it’s just not possible. The goalposts keep being moved and enough is enough.

“I’ll be speaking to Bryan Robson to discuss alternative targets should he wish to pursue them.”
