O’Neill goal earns Cobh draw

Kilkenny were ahead at the break thanks to a Conor Buckley goal after 29 minutes, but the home side equalised 10 minutes into the second-half through Davin O’Neill. Kilkenny almost snatched a late winner, but Cobh defender David Breen rescued his team with a goal-line clearance.

The night’s other eircom League games between Finn Harps and Athlone Town and Longford Town and Sligo Rovers were cancelled because of waterlogged pitches.
