FA to probe remarks by Cech about referee

THE Football Association have launched an inquiry into comments attributed to Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech following his side’s 2-2 Premiership draw at Arsenal.

Graham Poll allowed Gunners’ striker Thierry Henry to take a quick free-kick which caught Cech off-guard and led to the visitors going 2-1 behind on Sunday.

The 22-year-old was reported to have told website www.idnes.cz: “We could have won. The referee presented Arsenal with a goal. It was shocking.”
