Late Borgetti goal seals it for Bolton

Bulgarian outfit Lokomotiv Plovdiv claimed a shock lead through Boban Janchevski before El-Hadji Diouf headed Bolton level after 72 minutes.

Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce had expressed his sincere hope for a capacity crowd but the Reebok Stadium was far from full.

Lokomotiv, meanwhile, arrived in Lancashire still in mourning after the assassination of their president, Georgi Iliev, last month and had been granted permission by UEFA to wear black shirts in the first half in memory of Iliev. Lokomotiv snatched a shock lead after 28 minutes through Boban Jancevski finishing off an excellent move.

Bolton were finally level after 72 minutes when Diouf netted a superb equaliser, before Borgetti fired the ball home past Kolev.
