Wigan sign Swedish midfielder

WIGAN have completed the transfer of Sweden midfielder Andreas Johansson on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Boss Paul Jewell agreed an undisclosed fee for 26-year-old Johansson with Swedish outfit Djurgarden, although the deal is subject to international clearance.

The Swedish domestic season ended in October and Jewell said. “We’ll assess his fitness in training next week but he certainly looks in good shape.
