Nine wins out of nine for Juve

JUVENTUS continue to dominate Serie A with a 2-0 win at home to Sampdoria preserving their 100% record.

Nine wins from nine also sets a club record for Fabio Capello’s side whose victory - courtesy of goals from David Trezeguet and Adrian Mutu - maintained their five-point lead at the top.

It ensures they will remain top of Serie A regardless of the result of their forthcoming match with AC Milan who won 3-1 at Empoli.

Empoli took the lead with an own goal from Dario Simic before two goals from Alberto Gilardino and one from Christian Vieri ensured a 3-1 win for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.

Inter were humbled 3-2 at the San Siro by Roma who took a 3-0 lead with a goal from Vincenzo Montella and two including a penalty from Francesco Totti.

Two Adriano goals set up a tense finale which saw Totti and Inter’s Juan Sebastian Veron both dismissed.

Treviso picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 triumph at Reggina.
