Delayed debuts for Baggies’ duo

WEST BROM’S new signings Kanu and Zoltan Gera may have to wait until next weekend for their debuts.

Manager Gary Megson completed the deals for both players on Thursday but has hinted they may not play until the Baggies’ 125-year anniversary clash against Boavista at The Hawthorns next Saturday.

The Black Country club visit Bristol City for their penultimate pre-season friendly on Tuesday. But Megson does not expect either of his two latest recruits to be on duty at Ashton Gate.

Megson wants Kanu and Gera to take part in training before they make their first appearances.
