Juanfran rejected Liverpool move

ON-LOAN Espanyol youngster Juanfran Torres has revealed that he turned down Liverpool in order to join the Catalan side.

At one point it looked as though the 20-year-old Real Madrid midfielder could have moved to Anfield.

“Espanyol have been a club that have always shown interest in me,” said Juanfran. “I had talked with the sports director and the coach and knew that they had confidence in me and that I would have chances.
