Comolli joins Spurs as sporting director

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR have named Frenchman Damien Comolli as their new sporting director.

The 33-year-old will take up his new role on Monday and replaces Frank Arnesen, who left White Hart Lane to take up a similar post at Chelsea.

Comolli has previously been sporting director at French club St Etienne and is relishing his new appointment.
