REAL MADRID qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League with two games to go last night when they beat Rosenborg Trondheim 2-0 in Group F.

An own goal and a strike by Guti earned Real the victory and nine points from four games, three behind Olympique Lyon who beat Olympiacos 4-1 away to also seal their place in the last sixteen. Rosenborg have three points and Olympiacos none.

Real went ahead in the 26th minute when Mikael Dorsin put through his own goal as he ran back trying to intercept a cross by Robinho.
