Morrison faces knee injury scan

REPUBLIC of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison will today undergo a scan to determine the extent of a knee injury sustained in Saturday night’s goalless draw with France.

Morrison is almost certainly out of Wednesday’s Lansdowne Road clash with the Faroe Islands, and potentially a lot longer.

“I was just standing there and all of a sudden I could hear a pop and a click in my knee and I just went down,” explained Morrison.
