Magical Micah keepsCity dream alive

MANCHESTER CITY boss Stuart Pearce praised rookie defender Micah Richards after he grabbed an injury-time equaliser in the FA Cup fifth round clash at Aston Villa last night.

Richards was starting only his second senior game but in the dying seconds the 17-year-old headed home a corner from Joey Barton to earn a replay for Pearce’s side.

Richards’ effort was no more than City deserved after dominating for long periods and squandering several chances before Milan Baros gave the home side a 72nd-minute lead against the run of play.
