Hoop dreams realised as Roy signs for Bhoys

ROY KEANE’S long-cherished dream of ending his career in the famous green and white hoops of Celtic will be realised next month.

Keane, 34, has signed an 18-month, £45,000-a-week deal and will be eligible to play for Celtic in their Scottish Cup clash with Clyde on January 8 after an extraordinary gaffe ruled him out of the January 1 SPL fixture against title rivals Hearts.

“After leaving United it was important I took my time and made the right decision, but sitting here I feel very comfortable and this is where I feel I belong,” he said yesterday.
