Madrid swoop for United target Cicinho

REAL MADRID have reached an agreement with Sao Paulo over the future transfer of Brazil full-back Cicinho.

The Spanish giants have the option to buy Cicinho, and the 25-year-old could move during the January transfer window.

Cicinho, who has been linked with Manchester United, Juventus and AC Milan this summer, is currently finalising the paperwork to get Italian nationality.

"Being signed by such a great team like Real Madrid is the result of all the good work I've been making in my career," Cicinho said. "This agreement is good for all the parties me, my managers and the Sao Paulo board. I'm delighted," he added.
