Lorimer on new-look Leeds board

LEEDS legend Peter Lorimer yesterday confirmed he will sit on a new-look board at Elland Road should the Yorkshire business consortium complete their takeover.

Lorimer on new-look Leeds board

The investors, led by Leeds-based accountant Gerald Krasner, placed an eight-figure offer for the Barclaycard Premiership’s bottom club at the end of January and insist the deal is still moving forward.

Scot Lorimer, who played for United for 17 years in two spells and remains the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, has settled in the area since finishing his career. The consortium hope he will provide a link between the corridors of power and supporters.
