Campbell not to blame for Murphy injury

DANNY MURPHY last night faced up to a month on the sidelines but insisted Everton striker Kevin Campbell was not to blame for his misfortune.

It was a tackle by Campbell in Monday’s reserve match which resulted in Murphy being carried off with ankle ligament damage.

Murphy has had a scan and accepts that he will not only be out of action for a crucial month of Liverpool’s season, but also England’s European championship qualifier against Turkey in Istanbul next week.
