Merthyr target Gazza

WELSH club Merthyr Tydfil have made a bid to make Paul Gascoigne their player-manager.

Gascoigne lasted just 39 days in his last coaching job at Kettering before allegations of drinking problems ended his tenure.

“We are very hopeful of getting the situation moving,” Mark Collins, a director at the Southern League Premier Division club, said.
