Ireland finished their Danone Nations Soccer Cup final campaign on a high with a 3-2 win over the USA, to guarantee the young U12 side 15th position.

Arklow Town’s Mark Hardy, at 10 the youngest player in the tournament, set up Kevin Delanty for Ireland’s first goal, before tapping in the second minutes later.

However, the USA struck back with a goal from Jake Polanski and scored again moments later. Ireland then went on to dominate the final moments, and the pressure eventually paid off when Kevin Delanty slotted home.
