Nakamura the Celt

CELTIC manager Gordon Strachan believes he will finally sign Japanese international midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura early this week.

The Reggina favourite is expected in Glasgow tomorrow and become the Scot’s seventh signing following the arrivals of Jeremie Aliadiere, Mo Camara, Maciej Zurawski, Artur Boruc, Paul Telfer and Adam Virgo.

Strachan believes the midfield playmaker will become a Celtic hero.

“He’s great going forward, with his vision, and he sees things a lot of people can’t see,” he added.

“He can run with the ball and he is a decent lad as well.

“I have done a lot of homework and have spoken to people who have worked with him all over the place so I know what he’s like.

“He also starred against Brazil and was man of the match so from that you can say he’s not bad.”
