Caretaker manager Reid watched Leeds lose 3-1 at Liverpool and slip to the brink of the relegation zone then claimed: "They are feeling sorry for themselves".

Leeds were eventually outclassed by a Liverpool side who won with goals from Michael Owen, Danny Murphy and Steven Gerrard while Mark Viduka gave the Yorkshire club hope with a goal on the stroke of half-time.
