Rangers aiming to turn up the heat on Villarreal

ALEX McLEISH believes Rangers would send shock waves through Europe if they beat Villarreal tonight and advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

McLeish and his team left behind freezing conditions in Glasgow with the manager urging his players to turn up the heat on their Spanish hosts.

McLeish is well aware that Villarreal were favourites to win the tie before a ball was even kicked in the knockout stages and a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Ibrox has only strengthened their position.
