Pat's add to Town's misery

Longford Town 1 St. Patrick’s Athletic 3

Longford were simply not at the races and but for some fine goal keeping, the visitors margin of victory could have been even wider.

Town had keeper, Steven O'Brien sent off for a 35th minute challenge on Aidan O'Keeffe.

Pat's found their scoring rhythm in the 66th minute, Tony Bird firing past Michael Dempsey.

The visitors doubled this advantage just seven minutes later when Cameroon international Joseph Ndo fired a superb second.

Longford saw their night of misery complete in the 78th minute when Gary McPhee crashed home the Dubliner's third goal.

Dessie Baker grabbed a consolation for Longford in injury time.
