Klinsmann set to take over as German team coach

JURGEN Klinsmann is set to jet into Frankfurt today for further talks with the German Football Association, who hope to have him installed as national team coach within days.

He will reportedly travel from his home in the US to Frankfurt, the home of the German FA (DFB), whose president Gerhard Mayer-Vorfelder will welcome the former international striker at the airport.

Klinsmann is set to end his six-year exile from the game by taking his first coaching job, but there remain unresolved issues which need to be sorted in face-to-face talks.
