Petrov happy to finish career at Celtic Park

STILIAN Petrov has revealed he could finish his career at Celtic after signing a contract extension with the club.

The Bulgaria international has penned a new deal with the Bank of Scotland Premier League leaders to tie him to the club until 2009, with the option of an extra 12 months.

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan two weeks ago admitted negotiations had broken down but he never gave up hope of keeping one of his most influential players.
