Di Canio to lift Charlton, says Kiely

DEAN KIELY believes the Paolo di Canio effect will lift his Charlton team-mates in time for Saturday’s Premiership clash at Wolves.

The Addicks endured a miserable opening to their season without di Canio on Sunday, ending up on the wrong end of a 3-0 thumping by Manchester City at The Valley.

But Kiely believes gifted Italian striker di Canio, snapped up on a one-year contract by boss Alan Curbishley, will have helped rally spirits in the camp before the trip to Molineux when he could make his debut.
