St Mary's pair Mick O'Gara and Mark McHugh were rewarded for the club's first AIL Division 1A title in 14 years with awards at tonight's Energia AIL Awards 2025/26.

Talisman centre O'Gara, who kicked 16 points off the tee in the final win over Clontarf, picked up the Division 1A Player of the Year gong with Mark McHugh winning the Divisions Coach of the Year prize.

UL Bohs, the Women's AIL winners, also picked up two awards, with Chloe Pearse, who skippered the dramatic 32-29 win over Blackrock College, named Player of the Year and Sarah Quin winning Coach of the Year.

Commenting on the Energia AIL Awards, John O’Driscoll, President of the Irish Rugby Football Union, said: “Club rugby remains at the heart of the game in Ireland, providing the foundation for players, coaches, volunteers and supporters in communities across the country.

"On behalf of the IRFU, I would like to congratulate all of the winners across the divisions of the Energia All-Ireland League for their dedication, commitment and achievements throughout the season."

"The standard and competitiveness of the Energia AIL continues to grow year on year, showcasing the strength and passion that exists within the club game right across the island.
