Munster's Seán Edogbo has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the province that will see him move up to the senior squad next season on a two-year deal.
Highly-rated back-row Edogbo made his Munster debut against the Dragons at Virgin Media Park in January and was named player of the match.
He kept his place in the side for the following week’s game away to Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun.
The Cobh native played his age-grade rugby with Cobh Pirates and becomes the second-ever player from the club to sign a senior contract with Munster, following in the footsteps of his older brother Edwin.
The 21-year-old lined out with the Ireland under-20s in the 2024 Six Nations, scoring a memorable match-winning try against Italy at Virgin Media Park, and also featured in that summer’s World Rugby U20 Championship.
In other academy news, Irish qualified scrum-half Ben O'Donovan, who has signed for Munster on an 18-month deal, has entered the programme as a year three player.
