Former Munster centre Jason Holland is to step down as New Zealand attack coach at the end of the November internationals.
Holland has been with the All Blacks since head coach Scott Robertson took the reins in 2024. But will step away at the end of his current contract following Tests against Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.
Holland, who previously worked as an assistant coach at Munster and also coached the Hurricanes, said: āItās been a huge privilege to coach the All Blacks and represent New Zealand alongside some great people, both players and management.
āObviously Iāve been taking the time to reflect on what I want to do with my contract coming up for renewal.Ā
āUltimately, this is about what gets me excited about being a coach. I was happy to take a two-year contract and the time feels right for me to step away from this role and look ahead.
āWeāre a close group so this wasnāt an easy decision. Iāve obviously coached with them all in various ways for a long period of time and we think the team are making shifts in the right direction.
āThere are four tests left, and Iām absolutely focused on helping this team to win in the northern hemisphere.ā
It's the second departure from Robertson's backroom after Leon MacDonald resigned last year.
Robertson said: āThereās a massive amount respect for Jase in our group.
āWhilst weāre disappointed, he has our support and we respect the decision heās come to.
āNot only is Jase a great man, heās a fantastic coach and has been dedicated to his role in this All Blacks team.
āJase has made it clear to the team that heās completely focused on our four remaining test matches, and I know heās already got a few new strike plays up his sleeve.
āA Grand Slam opportunity doesnāt come around too often and thatās where our attention is for the challenge ahead.ā
