Connacht's URC clash against Scarlets postponed following travel disruptions due to Storm Amy

Connacht's round two URC clash against Scarlets due to be played at Dexcom Stadium on Saturday (1.45pm) has been postponed following major travel disruptions for the Welsh side.
Scarlets faced travel disruptions and flight cancellations due to Storm Amy a statement from the URC said. Weather warnings were issued earlier in the week ahead of the storm which was due to hit Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK on Friday with yellow and orange alerts in place.

Following the announcement from the URC, Connacht Rugby issued a statement of their disappointment the fixture has been postponed and apologising to both sets of supporters.

It is the second game of the weekend to fall foul of Storm Amy with Ulster's game against Edinburgh due to take place on Friday night in DAM Health Stadium first pushed back in time from 8.05pm to 7pm on Thursday before the game was postponed due to the inclement weather.
The game will be postponed to a later date which will be announced in due course when the URC speaks with the clubs and broadcasters about pencilling in the rescheduled fixture.
