Tom Farrell has been named Bank of Ireland Men's Player of the Year at the Munster Rugby Awards which was held on Saturday night at the Limerick Strand Hotel.

Farrell was outstanding in red during his first season for the province following his arrival from Connacht. He played in every competitive fixture for Munster totalling 26 games and scored 11 tries quickly becoming a key player with his incredible durability and consistency.

Farrell also won the Virgin Media Supporters' Men's Player of the Year award having become a fan favourite with his impressive performances and leadership throughout the season.

Chloe Pearse took the Bank of Ireland Women's Player of the Year award having had an excellent sesaon captaining Munster in the Interpro final a the beginning of last season. The back-row put in superb performances with her club leading UL Bohemian RFC to a second consecutive Women's All Ireland League title.

Pearse announced her retirement from provincial rugby signing off helping Munster to their first Women's Interpro title since 2022.

Caitríona Finn was named Supporter's Women's Player of the Year and her second award of the night was for Breakthrough Women's Player of the Year. The 19-year-old saw great success for her club, province and country acorss the 2024/25 season.

Finn made her senior debut during the Women's Interprovincial Championship when she came off the bench on the 49th minute against Leinster in Virgin Media Park. She went on to make two further appearances in the Championship. She also featured regularly for the Clovers during the Celtic Challenge Campaign. 

Finn's performances for UL Bohemians, the Clovers and Munster earned her a call up into Niamh Briggs' Ireland U20 side for back-to-back matches against Canada in May before being named in the squad for the summer series. 

She was part of the UL Bohemians side that won back-to-back AIL titles.

Full back Ben O'Connor took the John McCarthyy Academy Player of the Year. O'Connor excelled during his second Academy year making seven senior appearances and scoring two tries. He lined out for Emerging Ireland in their tour to South Africa. 

O'Connor is a talented sportman that joined the Academy in 2023 having won two hurling All-Ireland medals at minor and U20 level for Cork.
