Martin Johnson's 'good advice' could help Lions seal Tour triumph says John Fogarty

Martin Johnson visited the Lions camp in Melbourne on Thursday night for the shirt-presenting ceremony ahead of Saturday’s game.

British & Irish Lions legend Martin Johnson has reminded his 2025 successors of the importance of small margins winning big games as he presented the team for Saturday’s second Test against Australia with the jerseys.

England’s 2003 World Cup-winning captain, Johnson became the first man to skipper the Lions twice when he followed up his 1997 captaincy with the same role four years later. He had led the Lions to an iconic victory over the Springboks in ’97 but experienced the other side of the coin in 2001 when the Lions were beaten 2-1 by the Wallabies.
