Conor Ryan has signed a one-year development contract with Munster for the 2025/26 season.
The 21-year-old second-row has played with UCC in the AIL for the past two season, having come up through the ranks at Clonakilty. Last month, he lined out for UCC as they narrowly lost to Nenagh Ormond in the Division 1B promotion playoff.
Ryan made his senior bow for Munster last summer in a preseason friendly against Bath. He also featured in the midseason friendly with Leicester, scoring a second half try, and played for Munster A in their two recent wins over the Connacht Eagles.
Ryan played all of his age-grade rugby with Clonakilty which included winning a South Munster U18 league title with the west Cork club.
Munster said Ryan's signing is part of their "wider ongoing commitment to monitoring local players’ performances in the AIL and providing opportunities to players that emerge later and have been performing at a consistently high level".
