On a night when Munster supporters say farewell to departing heroes as Stephen Archer, Conor Murray and Peter O’Mahony play their final home games, there will be a moment of reflection from one of the next wave of the “old brigade”.
With a combined 705 caps between them when the final whistle blows on the must-win URC clash with Benetton at Cork’s Virgin Media Park, the trio are set to close out their Munster careers on the road, providing they advance to the end of season play-offs, with Murray set to move to a club overseas, O’Mahony and Archer to hang up their boots and Dave Kilcoyne having been forced to quit after 220 Munster caps due to injury.
