Luke Pearce will take charge of Leinster’s Champions Cup quarter-final against Glasgow Warriors at Aviva Stadium on Friday night, with Georgia’s Nika Amashukeli named to referee Munster’s last-eight tie at Union Bordeaux-Bègles the following day.
Competition organisers EPCR confirmed their appointments for this weekend’s knockout ties on Monday with Pearce’s English compatriot Christophe Ridley the man in the middle in Galway on Saturday night for Connacht’s Challenge Cup quarter-final with Racing 92.
The other two Champions Cup quarters will see Italy’s Andrea Piardi, who refereed Munster’s Round of 16 win at La Rochelle last Saturday, handed the whistle for Northampton Saints versus Castres Olympique at Franklin’s Gardens, while Sunday’s all-French tie between Toulon and defending champions Toulouse will be overseen by England’s Matthew Carley.
Ireland’s Andrew Brace has been handed control of the Ospreys v Lyon Challenge Cup quarter in Swansea.
