Jack Crowley predicted a seamless transition in the Ireland coaching set-up as the IRFU named its assistants to interim boss Paul O’Connell for this summer’s Tests in Georgia and Portugal.

With permanent head coach Andy Farrell selecting three Irish assistants, Simon Easterby, Andrew Goodman and John Fogarty, on his British & Irish Lions coaching ticket for the tour to Australia from the end of June to early August, O’Connell is the only member of the senior coaching staff remaining in the national team management group and its second interim head coach of the year.
