Munster will play an Argentina XV in Thomond Park in November, the province confirmed on Friday.
The fixture - set for November 1 at 5pm - will form part of Los Pumas' autumn northern hemisphere tour. They will also face Bristol Bears as well as play Tests with Wales, Scotland and England.
Munster have played Argentina just once before, in 1973. That match, also at Thomond Park, finished 12-12, with Barry McGann scoring four penalties for Munster.
Munster Rugby CEO Ian Flanagan commented: “We will be delighted to welcome Argentina XV to Thomond Park in November as part of their Northern Hemisphere tour.
“Los Pumas are extremely passionate about their rugby as we are in Munster, and I’m sure that passion will make for a brilliant game in November as we host this proud rugby nation for the first time since 1973.”
Tickets go on general sale from Monday March 24th at 10am, with season ticket holders getting early access from today.
